About Mentor Education

First established in 2003, we specialise in the provision of vocational education training (VET) through online, face-to-face and interactive e-learning systems. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 21683) all Mentor Education’s qualifications are nationally recognised and where applicable, registered on the ASIC Training Register.

Frequently asked questions from prospective students

Can I get government funding?

We don’t have VET student loans available for our courses, but you may be entitled to other government funding. Visit Study Assist for further information. Our courses are competitively priced and in most cases are more economical than undertaking a VET study course option.

Payment plan and options?

We have flexible payment plan options for most of our courses. Please contact us for further details.

When can I start?

For most qualifications, you can commence studies on the same day you submit your enrolment application. Before you commence your studies, you will need to fully complete your enrolment application forms, ensure payment is made (if completing an upfront payment) or have completed your payment plan application.

Is it all included (extra fees for assessments? Certificate?)

Yes, it is all included. Unless specified, all learning materials are included as part of your enrolment fee. Fees may apply if you require additional services such as virtual tutorials, course extensions etc.

What about software like MYOB? Do I need to purchase this?

Unless stated, we also include specific educational software where required in your enrolment fees. (e.g. an addition of MYOB software). To save on fees, we aim to use free or open source software where possible. Students are expected to have their own computer or device to use for online learning. Students are also expected to have a licensed copy of Microsoft office for use during their studies.

What’s the difference with each study options?

This depends on the course. Most courses are pure online self-paced courses, which allow you to study in your own time as it suits you. We also have study options for students that want more interaction with trainers and fellow students, where we provide regular Virtual Classes and Tutorials. Some courses also provide further support for students, with one on one tutorials for individual units and unit assessments.

Is it nationally recognised?

Mentor Education is an Australian nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) provider, specialising in the provision of interactive online, face-to-face and distance education of nationally accredited qualifications, skill sets and non-accredited industry designations. All Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Skill Sets, Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma courses are nationally recognised qualifications.

Are you a proper training provider?

Yes, Mentor Education is an Australian nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO 21683). As a RTO, Mentor Education deliver nationally recognised Australian government qualifications, which comply with the Australian Qualifications Framework standard.

Are there pre-requisites?

Course pre-requisites depend on the qualification you wish to study. Many qualifications are open entry courses with no educational pre-requisite qualifications. Please call or email us if you have any queries.

What’s the duration?

Course duration depend on the qualification you wish to study. Course duration is included in course brochures. Please call or email us if you have any queries.

How long do people usually take to finish?

The majority of our students complete their course either prior to or around the individual course duration. This depends solely on the hours you have available to commit to your studies. Please call or email us if you have any queries.
