Mentor Education's BSBSS00102 - Micro Business Skill Set provides individuals an introductory overview of the skills and knowledge required to both investigate and plan for the development of a new micro business, whether that be inside of or external to a company.
This course is an ideal short course to study the processes associated with identification of business opportunities and associated key components, undertaking research to determine the viability of new opportunities and required documentation associated with business planning.
Ideally suited to individuals such as managers, administrators or team leaders establishing or operating a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a standalone or larger organisation, this course provides an overview of business functions including:
- Investigation of business opportunities
- Research required to formulate business plans
- Development of business plans for achieving goals and objectives
This course can be completed in conjunction with the BSBSS00107 - Marketing and Communication Foundations Skill Set as part of the Marketing and New Business Short course.

This is an open entry course with no pre-requisite qualifications.
