The BSBSS00111 - Human Resources Advisor Skill Set is a short course that provides individuals an overview of the skills and knowledge required to coordinate human resource (HR) functions within a business. This skill set covers core topics that could be undertaken by individuals working in a HR role, including the management of employee and industrial relations, recruitment and onboarding, payroll management and coordination associated with company remuneration and benefits plans.

The BSBSS00111 - Human Resources Advisor Skill Set course comprises of core units of competency covering disciplines including:

  • Employee and industrial relations
  • Payroll, Recruitment and onboarding
  • Coordination of human resource functions and processes.
  • Coordinate organisational remuneration and benefit plans

This short HR course can also be completed as part of the Administration and Human Resources Short Course.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded the BSBSS00111 - Human Resources Advisor Skill Set.

The Units from this skill set may contribute to credit towards the BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management.

Skill Set Entry Requirements

This is an open entry course with no pre-requisite qualifications.

We also recommend that students undertaking this course:

  • Are over 18 years of age at the time of commencement
  • Have successfully completed a year 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Have a strong grasp of computer/technical skills
  • Microsoft Office (or freeware equivalent) installed on their computer
  • Access to a reliable high-quality internet connection
  • Adequate literacy/numeracy skills

This skill set shares common units with the BSB50320 - Diploma of Human Resource Management. Units from this short HR course may contribute to credit towards other nationally recognised qualifications.

Course Duration

Students will be required to undertake 5 core units. Course units are delivered sequentially and should be completed over a 14-week period.
