The Mentor Education Auditing and Compliance Short Course (BSBSS00122 - Compliance Skill Set and the BSBSS00128 - Lead Auditor Skill Set) provides individuals an overview of both the skills and knowledge required to lead a quality audit across a wide-range of businesses and industries and the skills and knowledge required to understand, assess and work within compliance frameworks within an organisation.
Ideally suited to individuals where part of their job role includes leading audits within a range of industries and individuals working within a compliance framework, this course provides an overview of core fundamental topics including:
- Preparation for and participation in quality audits as a member of a quality audit team.
- Initiation, leading and reporting on the outcomes of quality audits
- Identification of statutory, legislative and regulatory requirements
- Identification and interpretation of a range of internal and external compliance requirements
Individuals may wish to undertake Mentor Education's nationally recognised BSB50920 - Diploma of Quality Auditing course, which provides a full formal auditing related diploma qualification.
Mentor Education’s BSBSS00122 - Compliance Skill Set and the BSBSS00128 - Lead Auditor Skill Set are both nationally recognised qualifications, complying with the AQF standard and ASQA standards for Registered Training Organisations.
Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded both the BSBSS00128 - Lead Auditor Skill Set and the BSBSS00122 - Compliance Skill Set. The units of competency from this course meet industry requirements for leading an audit in a range of industries.
Units from this skill set may contribute to credit towards BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing.
Skill Set Entry Requirements
This is an open entry course with no pre-requisite qualifications.
We also recommend that students undertaking this course:
- Are over 18 years of age at the time of commencement
- Have successfully completed a year 12 certificate or equivalent
- Have a strong grasp of computer/technical skills
- Microsoft Office (or freeware equivalent) installed on their computer
