Mentor Education's new nationally recognised ICT60220 - Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Supersedes ICT80115 - Graduate Certificate in Information Technology and Strategic Management) has been designed for individuals seeking to develop skills and knowledge to work or develop career prospects in specialist technology roles.

The ICT60220 - Advanced Diploma of Information Technology qualification provides students intermediate knowledge across a plethora of technology disciplines including ICT fundamentals such as Project Management, client interaction, team management and business analysis.

The qualification comprises of core business units of competency covering disciplines including:

  • Planning and monitoring of business analysis activities in an ICT environment
  • IP, ethics and privacy in ICT environments
  • Agile project leadership
  • IT project management fundamentals
  • Cyber security awareness and best practices

This course is available as a stand-alone qualification or can be combined with other select Diploma level qualifications.

Mentor Education’s ICT60220 - Advanced Diploma of Information Technology is a nationally recognised qualification, complying with the AQF standard and ASQA standards for Registered Training Organisations.

Entry requirements

There are no prerequisites for this qualification. However, in order to successfully complete this qualification, it is strongly recommended that students are currently employed in, have been employed in or have support from your employer to transition into an ICT role OR have an understanding of one or more ICT specialisations such as software development, web development, networking, systems administration, IT systems support, cyber security, IT project management etc. in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.
We also recommend that students undertaking this course:

  • Are over 18 years of age at the time of commencement
  • Have successfully completed a year 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Have a strong grasp of computer/technical skills
  • Microsoft Office (or freeware equivalent) installed on their computer
  • Access to a reliable high-quality internet connection
  • Adequate literacy/numeracy skills

Who Should Enrol?

This qualification has been designed to accommodate both individuals with no formal training qualifications and those seeking an entry point for transition into further education. The program is particularly suitable for candidates currently working in project leadership and/or management roles who are seeking a formal qualification to enhance and confirm their existing knowledge and skills.

Course Duration

Students will be required to undertake 16 units of study over 12-month period.
