The industry accredited Advanced Certificate in MYOB provides students a comprehensive overview of core MYOB accounting functions.
Developed for individuals seeking a complete MYOB overview, the Advanced Certificate in MYOB course focuses on delivering knowledge and skills across multiple MYOB accounting software packages (MYOB AccountRight, MYOB Essentials and MYOB Payroll).
MYOB Accounting provides accountants, bookkeepers and business owners the ability to undertake core business accounting needs from invoicing, GST calculations, PAYG and single touch payroll to comprehensive balance sheet and profit and loss reporting.
Delivered by The Career Academy (a MYOB approved training provider), individuals undertake four industry endorsed coursesas part of their study:
- Certificate in MYOB AccountRight
- Certificate in MYOB Essentials
- Certificate in MYOB Payroll
- Official MYOB Test
On completion of enrolment, students will receive a free 12-month student membership to the Institute of Public Accountants.
The Advanced Certificate in MYOB course can also be combined with multiple Mentor Education Accounting and Bookkeeping qualifications including the FNS40217 – Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and is accredited by the International Council for Online Educational Standards (ICOES).
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive the Advanced Certificate in MYOB and will be a certified MYOB user.
Students completing this course will also gain 40 CPD hours on completion (CPD Certification Service).
This short course is not VET (Vocational Education and Training) accredited, but can be completed alongside a VET nationally recognised qualification.

Whilst this is an online course, students considering undertaking this course must be based in Australia.
There are no prerequisites for this course.

- Have a strong grasp of computer/technical skills
- Microsoft Office (or freeware equivalent) installed on their computer

Access to MYOB Accounting and Payroll software will be provided to complete this course.
Please note that MYOB AccountRight software is not compatible with Apple/Mac computers. Students will be required to have access to a PC to undertake this course.

This qualification has been designed to accommodate both individuals with no formal training qualifications and those seeking an entry point for transition into further education. The program caters to both individuals running a business or working in a small business that wish to take a more active role in accounts management and those interested in understanding and undertaking MYOB accounting functions.
Students with no formal qualifications seeking to undertake a Nationally recognised course of study should strongly consider enrolling into a Certificate IV or Diploma based accounting and bookkeeping qualification alongside undertaking this course.
MYOB AccountRight does not work with Apple Mac oomputers, students will require access to a PC to udnertake this course
