Founder and Director

Dr. Mark Sinclair established Mentor Education in 2003 with a strong desire to provide high levels of student satisfaction, quality training and assessment materials, technology enabled learning, and skill-based job-ready learning outcomes.
This 'student focus' is a direct result of Mark's doctoral studies in e-commerce, financial services & health corporate advisory experience with AT Kearney and KPMG, and his passion for learning and teaching developed teaching in the MBA program at RMIT University.
Mentor Education is the product of elegant application of technology and innovation to professional education. Over the past 13 years, Mark has developed an efficient model to select, digitally market, deliver and support high-demand courses which deliver great value to students and the business.
During his career, Mark has advised senior executives at over 100 businesses in a broad range of industries throughout Australia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East including strategic assignment with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Department of Human Services, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Department of Education, Telstra and the Reserve Bank of Indonesia.
Dr. Jim Taggart - Adjunct Professor, Order of Australia (OAM)
Chairman and Non-Executive Director

Dr. Jim Taggart is a Chairman, Non-Executive Director, Committee (Audit) Member, Adjunct Professor and Director with over 20 years of board level experience across the public (local & state), private (finance planning, investment, development) and not for profit (church, community & fundraising) sectors.
At board level, some highlights include being a member of the Asia Pacific Financial Services Association, Investment Board for the Parramatta Diocese; (President) Association of Financial Advisers; (Chairman) Salvation Army Advisory Board (Business Appeal); Audit Committee Member, Hills Shire Council; Parramatta Stadium and TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute.
In an executive capacity, Jim established the highly successful The Taggart Group in 1987 and is currently Director of the Western Sydney Institute of Sport. He was previously Director, Landscape NSW & ACT.
He has a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) and is an Adjunct Professorship of Notre Dame University. He is also a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) and won the Association of Financial Advisers, Financial Advisor of the Year Award in 2005.
David Butterfield
Non-Executive Director

David Butterfield is a Non-Executive Director on the Mentor Education Board. He is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser and Registered Tax Agent with over 40 year's professional experience. He started working at Touché Ross and then PWC and commenced practice in 1977.
David has highly tuned skill set in budgeting, business analysis and valuation, risk management, transaction management, taxation structuring, preparing Research and Development applications and providing value added solutions to improve profitability.
David has held the role of Chief Financial Officer in a listed company and has significant experience in ASX related reporting and transaction management.
In addition, David holds the role of Responsible Manager of an Australian Financial Services (AFS) licensee with respect to providing general advice in life insurance, managed investments and securities.
